Are you a registered 501c(3) charity?

Yes! Better Health, Better Life is registered as a section 501c(3) charity with the IRS. This means all donations are 100% tax deductible and that any and all funds received will always go towards our mission.

Isn't plant-based food just a lot of soy?

While soy foods are popular they are by no means essential or exclusive to plant-based diets; you can eat as many or as few as you like and still lead a better, healthier life!

Healthy, plant-based diets focus on getting a large variety of whole, plant-based foods into your daily and weekly meals as possible. Many plant-based people consume little to no soy and a large variety of beans, grains, vegetables, fruit and nuts. Check out our recipes section for delicious ways to do this.

What if I live in a food desert?

It’s hard to eat healthy and plant-based in certain circumstances, but Better Health, Better Life and our sister organization Afro-vegan Society have guides that can help you make the most of what foods you can access.

Sign up for our newsletter and stay tuned to the resources section for future articles, recipes, and guides.

Isn't plant-based food expensive?

The healthiest foods on the planet are actually some of the cheapest – beans, grains (like rice), vegetables, and fruit are all often the most affordable foods in any grocery store.

While the processed plant-based meat, dairy, and egg alternatives can be a delightful, healthier alternative than the animal products they replace, they are also quite costly and not at all essential.

Are your financials available?

Yes! Please send a request through our Contact Us page and we’ll send them to you as soon as we are able.

I'm still stuck on this soy thing. Isn't it bad?

All the available evidence points to nothing but beneficial health outcomes in cultures that consume a lot of soy, such as those in east Asia. Benefits include better cardiovascular health, lower all-cause mortality, and more.
